Log Files and Legitimate Interest

In some cases, processing is based on legitimate grounds other than consent and prevailing over the data subject's rights.
In this context, the collection and storage for a short period of time of log files are considered, which, as mentioned in this information, should be understood as chronological and sequential records of accesses to the server hosting this website.

These files are very important for the security of the website and the server, the safeguarding and protection of data, defense against computer threats (viruses, malware, etc.), detection of hardware or software anomalies, and are therefore fundamental for the continuity of service.
These specific files contain information that could identify the user (e.g., the IP address), but their use is exclusively limited to the purposes and legitimate interests listed below:

How They Are Kept Secure

Specific and adequate security measures, of an organizational and technical-computer nature, prescribed by Articles 24 et seq. of the GDPR, have been adopted for the management of data and log files, aimed at ensuring secure access and protecting information from risks of loss or destruction, including accidental.
These measures include, for example but not exhaustively, operating system updates, adoption of complex passwords and their periodic renewal, adoption of up-to-date antivirus software, use of firewalls, specific policies for the custody of backup copies and for the restoration of data and system availability, and any other software or hardware necessary for this purpose.
In adopting these measures, Francesco Craglietto may rely on selected external services autonomously chosen based on high standards of quality and reliability.
